This lightweight aluminum ramp with an 800 lb. weight capacity is the original “multi-fold” ramp. It can be separated into two pieces and carried like suitcases for easy transportation. What separates this ramp from the competition is the patented hinge that eliminates pinch points and worry-free setup. These ramps have a hook at the top that rests on the threshold or step and are secured in place using the safety pins provided. The traction tape surface on this ramp provides plenty of grip to prevent slipping while navigating the ramp.

I like the product. I did buy one that said it was not in original packaging and I received some money off for that. However the new packaging was awful. The box was much too big and had a small amount of paper inside to protect the ramps from damaging each other. The ramps and DVD have a lot of scraps from hitting each other. The box was held together with several layers of packing tape. There were 2 good size tears in the box. One ramp will 1/2 open good and than needs to be forced to open fully. I'm happy with the product, I think the damaged happened because of the poor packaging. This ramp has been a godsend. We have older, disabled relatives who like to visit. Sometimes we want to have them join us for holidays . The problem is that climbing stairs is a challenge. Both my brother and my Mother in law are wheel chair bound. So I have been looking for a way of getting into my house without the major expense of redesigning the house. The portable ramp is just the ticket. At 7 ft. it is long enough to provide a gentle slope from the sidewalk into the front door - a climb over two steps and a small landing. It is also very strong. I holds a lot of weight. When I wheel one relative in, between him and myself the ramp must support over 500 pounds. The ramp is also portable. It folds in half length wise and separates into two independent tracks. Each track then folds in half and clamps together for easier storage. For me this is perfect. It is out of sight when unneeded, yet can be set up for use in less than ten minutes. A superior product,Absolutely love it! Most people do not have accessibility in there homes even if they think they do. They may have 1 or 2 steps which seems like nothing. But when you are moving a person in a wheelchair that cannot help , it is a very BIG thing. This unit was very compact ,rather light weight, fit easily in our van so we always take it with us. Now we don't have to struggle to get into a reasonably accessible home. It really has made a big difference in visiting our familyThis is just the ramp I needed for our three front steps. My handicapped husband fell and broke his ankle and the only way we can move him has been in a wheelchair---which is next to impossible going down steps. Because it has multifolds, this ramp is easy to move and carry. I suggest this to anyone who buys a ramp: Keep it inside when it's not in use. I paid over $500 for a ramp a few years ago, it was difficult to move, so I left it over the steps. And it was stolen. Also, measure the distance to be sure this is the right fit and if it is, go for it!!It's strong and practical.. folds easily though I have a wide stair and leave it up on one side. The pins pop up but not out during use.. don't trip! I might tape them down, though they don't seem necessary.Works well in rain. I bought the 10' length for two stairs totaling a 21 inch rise. It's plain and industrial looking, not for show. I do not recommend it for solo use as it's 30" wide with no rails. I push my 270 lb mother in a extra wide 19"seat wheelchair up the ramp with no problem.Mine was delivered in a torn open box with no invoice and a slight ding but that issue was resolved to my satisfaction. Nothing could make me return this product. It saves my back and frees my mother from stress!I use it to roll my Father just three steps up/down. I am 170# and Father is 198# on light aluminum wheelchair. First time I was close to flipping Father sideways while driving down!!! While I was walking, this ramp is acting as a spring under your feet and starts oscillations of a rider. You do right foot step - it sags to the right and pools wheelchair to the right (by gravity), so your next step with left foot and it tilts everything to the left and you HAVE to do next step (right one ) and in contributes to more tilting... Please be prepared for it!!!Next time I inserted 2x4 under the middle of ramp and secured with two automotive (adjustable) stands on each side so it will not shake left to right and not springs up/down and then - it is safe, stable and actually usable. So, yes you can use it but I WILL NEVER go again on it without additional supports on the middle, not due to sagging down but due to side by side tilting to the danger levels. This worked well for its purpose. We wound up screwing it in place rather than the drop fasteners. It held up well over the winter being outside -- though some tread marks are showing now.We needed a ramp to provide access to our house for my mother who has significant mobility issues after my father passed away. We originally rented an 8 ft ramp but the incline was too steep for us to safely transport her as she weighs over 200 lbs. This ramp is perfect...very easy to set up...sturdy, stable...and provides us with the flexibility to use it either in our garage....our deck....or to transport her electric wheelchair on our Chevy Suburban. This ramp quickly and successfully made our home handicap accessible without having to make permanent structural changes or investing in a custom ramp....this is a great ramp!
