I was hesitant to order this because it's a brand I've never heard of, but my old machine crapped out and I was in desperate need of a new one.The stitch selection and Tweeks are easy to understand, speed control is consistent, and so far no problems.The only reason I knocked it down a star is because it's missing some needed features, at least for me: there is no automatic cut feature, no way to adjust the pressure of the presser foot, and lack of an additional thread guide above the needle (every other machine I've ever had has a thread guide right under the machine as well, not just at the top of the needle). At times this causes me to have to adjust the thread tension more often than I normally would.But seriously, their machine works great, it's quiet, and perfect if you're familiar with computerized machines.Not exactly a machine for beginners, if you’re older, but with the kids of today who are tech savvy this is a great way to start! I bought it because my older machine ( aJanome) and this one looked similar online. Well, it isn’t exactly the same, it actually does a lot more and I’ve yet to try it all.This is the second one I got, as the first one was defective and thread kept getting tangled inside the bobbin area or breaking off along the top areas. But I figured I’d give it a shot and opted for a replacement instead of just going back to Singer (a great machine and I’ve bought two over the last 30 years) and seeing if the additional perks that came with this machine would be helpful.So far I’m glad I got it. I sew in binges, and had to finish a project I was in the middle of so I couldn’t wait for a good sale locally , and all my local Walmart had was a basic Singer for $149. Why not spend an extra few dollars and get something that does more?I’ve use this juste 3 Times and I’m already planning to buy an other machine. Noisy, keep breaking my thread . I have to use nylon thread because it kept breaking the coton one .I wish I could have my money back.I have issues with the tension sometimes and trying to get the dog stitch to look like dogs lol but overall it's working for me. I don't have much experience but I'm figuring things out it's not really complicated it's just sewingNot quite as good as my 40 yr. old Brothers machine. It's hard to use the back up button, trying to hold it down cause it don't lock into place a person needs 3 hands 1 to hold down the button 1 to hold the matt. in place and 1 to turn the wheel so it don't just sit there and rev up the motor. The lever to work the the pressor foot up and down is to short or is to close to the lever to release the pressor foot, If you want to sew just a few stiches you have to turn the wheel if you don't the machine just sits there and revs up the motor or takes off like a shot, I like my 40 yr. old Brothers machine a lot better it does what I want it to, when and how I want it to. I'm not real happy with this new one but it was a present for my 75th birthday and mothers day. so I guess I'm stuck with it, I can't afford the $400 to buy a new motor for my old one. This new one was the closest they could find to my old one.Easy to connect to machineI was a bit daunted about buying this machine because of some of the reviews surrounding the ease of use. Glad I took the chance, the machine is easy to use and it works great.I wouldn’t exactly recommend for beginners because it has a lot of buttons to get use to. Pretty easy to use and I love that’s it's light weight.
